Mill House Spring Quilt

This sweet pink and white Mill House Spring quilt is available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

This quilt is quilted with matching color thread in pebbles, back and forth lines, and onion swirl motifs.

This quilt would be a lovely soft focal point in any room as a wall quilt.

The 41" x 49" size also makes it great for traditional use as a baby or lap quilt.

The Mill House Spring quilt features a sweet and pretty in pink traditional hourglass design framed with gold and green borders.

This quilt includes a hanging sleeve so it can be used as wall decor if desired.

All fabrics, thread, and batting are high quality 100% cotton.

The back of the quilt is a small scale pink print fabric that coordinates with the pinks in the quilt top.

This quilt was designed, stitched, and quilted in the Curlicue Creations studio by me.

A pattern is available if you wish to sew your own Mill House Spring quilt.  Click here to purchase a paper pattern.  Click here to purchase a PDF instant download pattern.

Little Log Cabin Rescue

I've been out vintage shopping again.  This time around I spied a little crib sized log cabin quilt.  It's not sewn very well, but the fabrics are just adorable.  Mostly garden prints, apples, asparagus, Jack B Little pumpkins - so, so cute!  I just had to rescue it from my local thrift shop. I always feel a little sad when I see a quilt abandoned with all the other junk, usually marked $5.00 or less.  I hope none of my quilts end up like that.

Have you ever rescued a quilt?  Leave a comment below to share.

Have a lovely day,

Jennifer Schifano Thomas

Wishing Stars Quilt Homecoming

This week My Wishing Stars quilt came home from Fons and Porter's Easy Quilts.  It was all wrapped up in some nice tissue paper, and folded pretty, just so.

The first thing I did was give it a BIG hug!  It smelled so nice, like fresh cotton.  It must be the The Warm Company's Warm and Plush Cotton Batting.  How wonderful!

Trent wanted to cuddle the Wishing Stars quilt, too.

I hung it on this empty quilt rack in my living room for now.  I like to change out my quilt displays often.  It changes the look and mood of a room instantly.  Light and bright sparkling stars for Summer?  Yes.

If you would like to sew your own Wishing Stars quilt, the pattern is available in the Summer 2015 issue of Fons and Porter's Easy Quilts.

Until next time...please visit the Curlicue Creations Shop...and have a super day!
