My Twizzle Quilt is on the Cover of Quilter's World Magazine!

My Twizzle quilt is on the cover of the Spring 2025 issue of Quilter's World magazine!  I'm so excited to be a cover girl again.  Don't you love the gorgeous photo they took with the pink bicycle and basket of flowers?  I have a pink beach bicycle very similar to the one in the photo.  Sometimes I ride it to the mailbox.  So fun!

Disclosure:  The items used to make this quilt were given to me by Island Batik and industry partners.
I was so excited whilst making the Twizzle quilt that I did not take in process photos, like I usually do.  So sorry!  The center part of the quilt is paper pieced.  I did take a pic of the fabrics I used for Twizzle.  These fabrics are from the Geometrica collection by Island Batik.  I also used Hobbs Poly-Down batting and Schmetz needles to make this project.

Here's a full quilt photo I took on my studio porch so you can see the circular design and all the soft colors from the Geometrica collection.  If you want to make a Twizzle quilt, you can find the Spring 2025 issue of Quilter's World magazine in local shops now, or you can order a digital copy online, here:  Quilter's World Spring 2025 Issue  If you sew a Twizzle quilt, please share a pic with me on Instagram @curlicuecreations, or in my Facebook Group, Quilters Show and Tell.  I would love to see your quilt!

New Pattern! Pioneer Rose

Here it is!  My very newest quilt pattern, Pioneer Rose.

This quilt was sewn with the new Freedom 2 fabric line by Island Batik.  This should be in your local quilt shops now.  It's so beautiful.  Go out and get some today.

The Pioneer Rose quilt is made up of two blocks, this fusible applique rose block,

and this curved crossing block.  The curves are fusible applique too, so no curved seams in this quilt.

The Pioneer Rose quilt is a beautiful heirloom style project featuring a rich patriotic color scheme.

It even looks pretty folded up!

I used this amazing Freedom 2 fabric for the back of the quilt.  It's my favorite in the collection.

I bound the edges with the same blue and white star fabric as the outer border.

I quilted an echo and small pebbles in the background of the rose blocks, and did an allover loopy meander over the rest of the quilt.

It looks inviting on my front porch.
This is my favorite spot do do hand sewing.
