This Weekend's Crafty Finishes

It's Monday again and I have two more finishes for the record book (or blog!).  I'm starting to think it may be possible to finish all the projects I have started in the past.  Am I deluding myself?  No!  I think it can be done!

Here's a close up of D is for Dolls that I took as I was adding the binding to this adorable cross stitch alphabet quilt.  I used an old Thimbleberries fabric for the binding and the hanging sleeve, too.

And here's the ABC quilt finally finished!  Hooray!  Maybe I will hang this in my third child's room.  It's so adorable!

Do you remember this bag I crocheted last Summer when I was attending "Knitting at the Library"?  I've had it sitting around ever since because I wanted to sew a zippered lining into it.

It was so easy to do!  I used the same Thimbleberries fabric as the ABC quilt's binding.  I measured it, cut out two pieces, and sewed a narrow hem across the tops.

Then I selected a black zipper from my miscellaneous zipper bag, sewed it all together, and...Voila!  I can't believe I put it off for so long.

A close up of the bag.  You can see the pattern at the top and bottom of the bag - pretty!  I found this bag pattern in the "Happy Hooker" crochet book.

And here's a little peek inside my bag.  I love it!  It was fun to wear today when I went out to the Post Office and took the kids to the local arcade.

What have you finished lately?  Pull out that old project that's been nagging you to finish it and just do it!

Until next time...please visit the Curlicue Creations Shop...and have a super day!

  1. Nice finishes! Stick with it, I know you can do it. I'm hoping to make that same kind of progress now that my life has settled down a bit.
