Macaws Quilt Top Finish

My previous Macaws sewing session ended right about here
This photo shows the blue Macaw right before I made my mistake and sewed him to the perch early.
That's when I decided to take a sewing break.

When I was ready to get back to this project, I got my seam ripper out right away.

My mistake was skipping sewing the block Z's to the upper and lower right hand corners of the block.  These give the bird a nice shape.

Now my Macaws quilt top is complete and ready to quilt.  It's hanging on my design wall until quilting inspiration strikes.  How would you quilt it?

Have you been following the Island Batik and It's in the Bag blog hop?  My day is coming up this week, on Thursday.  I can't wait to show you the bag I made with the new Island Batik Urbanization fabric line.  Island Batik will be giving away a fabric bundle of Urbanization and a bundle of Nouveau Soul on their blog this week!  Be sure to enter at their blog, Island Batik Blog
