I rescued this whole cloth quilt from a local thrift shop for $1.00.
$1.00!!! It's so sad! Look at all the work that went into it. It's in beautiful condition, too.
Here's a closer look at one of the motifs. Aren't the birds sweet?
A quartet of hearts is quilted in the space between the larger motifs. The dense pebble quilting makes the designs pop.
An even closer look at one of the simply sweet birds.
This detail shows the heart motifs along the edges of the quilt. I'm glad I spotted this quilt and was able to give it a loving home. Have you ever rescued a quilt? Leave a comment below.

I can hardly believe how that gem was priced! Thankfully it fell into your loving hands. I rescued a hand quilted baby quilt Which had a label. I found the obituary of the quilter who lived in California. She lived until she was nearly 100 and had made dozens of charity quilts. I gifted her quilt to a newborn along with a copy of the obituary.
