I love this beautiful photo they took of the Tango quilt.  It looks like it's enjoying some soft morning light.  This quilt finishes at 66" x 78".  It's a nice size for any bed.  I love it on my king size bed.  I use a store bought comforter on my bed and lay my quilt on top of that.  It covers the top of the bed beautifully and protects the underside of the quilt.

I made my version of the Tango quilt using Island Batik Lumin Fabrics pieces from my stash.  

I adore the way it came out.  The colors are so relaxed and lovely, plus it's super cuddly.

This quilt is made with two different blocks that fit together to make the pleasing design.  It's suitable for skill level confident beginner and up.

I used a fun purple thread for the quilting.  It's Nile Delta King Tut  by Superior, which you can also purchase from Connecting Threads.  The batting is Tuscany Supreme Unbleached Cotton by Hobbs.  (My favorite batting!)  It makes such a plush, cuddly quilt.  This quilt was designed in EQ8.

Orchard Quilt and Pattern, plus Tester's Parade!

Orchard is another one of my newest patterns.  The finished size of this quilt is 54" x 70".  I made my     quilt in red, green and white, like an apple orchard, but you can mix it up and use any two colors you like to coordinate with the white background and get a fabulous quilt!  I'll show you what three of my pattern testers did later on in this post.

Theses are the fabrics I chose for my quilt.  They are from the Woodstock collection by Island Batik.  I love how rich the colors are and the fun designs equal a fun quilt.

Here are three Orchard quilts made by my pattern testers.  This one was made by Ruth.  Her quilt looks like an orange orchard to me.  I like the fun fabric she used in the middle of the squares.

This Orchard quilt in cool blues and greens was made by Keren.  Note that she used a variety of green fabrics to get this look.

This one was made by Rosalind.  I just love the raspberry and aqua fabrics she used to give her quilt a slightly tropical look.

Mill House Spring Quilting In Progress

 On my Juki today is the Mill House Spring quilt.  Before quilting begins, I always clean and oil my machine and put on a new needle.

 When I loaded this quilt onto the frame I was thinking,  "I'll just do a quick all over design and finish it in an afternoon."

 Ha! Ha! Ha!  That didn't happen.  I changed my mind and tried this new swirly onion quilting in the green outer border.  I like it.

 I accented it with small back and forth lines in the gold border.

 Here the borders are side by side.

 The hourglass blocks in the quilt center came out a little more puckered than I would like.  To disguise the imperfect blocks, I'm doing some heavy quilting.

 The pink triangles are getting quilted with vertical or horizontal lines, depending on their orientation.

 The white triangles are getting quilted with small pebbles.

 I've quilted three or four rows in so far, and it's looking pretty good!

Crocker Baby Quilt Finish

 Here's the finished Crocker Baby Quilt enjoying a little sunshine on a hot July afternoon.

Note:  Some of the items used to make this project were given to me by Quilty Box at no cost to me.

 I finished it up with a label and a photo session.

 I quilted every one of the 36 squares on this quilt with a different design.  Here's a few of them.

 Curvy square in a square.

 Swirls and pebbles.  I wish this photo had come out better.  It's such a cute design.

 Skinny vertical lines.

 The center of the quilt.

 Chunky ribbon candy, divided with horizontal lines.

 Here's the quilt relaxing on the front porch with a pillow.

 A little peek at the vintage blue floral fabric I used for the backing.

 I used a gold floral print for the binding.  Some of this fabric was also used for the quilt top.

 Pretty folds.

I gifted this quilt to my Dad for his 79th birthday to use as a lap quilt.  Happy Birthday Dad!
