Introducing: The Cherry Tree quilt, a half square triangle (HST) adventure in pink and teal.
The Cherry Tree quilt is featured in the new Annie's book, Two Color Quilts.
Here's a few of the blocks on my design wall during construction. I used Island Batik foundation fabrics for my project. The pink is Flamingo, and the teal fabric is Bermuda. I used Island Batik Almond and Solid White for the neutrals. These fabrics are not part of a collection, and are available year round in local quilt shops.
I quilted it in a simple loopy meander with white Aurifil thread. This is my go-to quilting design when I am short on time. It's simple, fun to quilt, and effective.
