Peace Quilt Block

Here's my completed Peace quilt block.

All the pieces in this block are attached with fusible applique.  My preferred fusible web is Heat 'n Bond Lite.  That's what I'm using in the above photo.

The back side of my green fabric, ready to be pressed flat, and the paper patterns fused in place.

Red flower petals cut out.

More pieces cut out.  I really enjoy cutting the patches out.  I opted to fuse the stems, too.  Sometimes I hand applique them instead.

All the pieces have been fused to the background fabric.

Stitching around the edges of each patch with a matching thread in a zigzag stitch.
Sometimes I use a buttonhole stitch, but zigzag is my favorite.

Stitching around the leaves and stem.

Stitching the around the flower petals.

The finished block.  This block will finish to 12" x 12" when it is sewn into a quilt.  The pattern is available in the Curlicue Creations Etsy shop here:  Peace Applique Quilt Block Pattern
If you sew a block, please send me a photo.  I would love to see it!
