An October UFO Project from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks

I'm so proud of myself!  I pulled one of my UFO boxes down off the shelf, assessed the situation, and actually started on it.  These are the twelve blocks I had the honor of testing for Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Volume 4.  That was quite a while ago, as we're coming up on the release of Volume 12 this November.

I decided to go with Quiltmaker's block setting for the Throw.  Most of the 100 Blocks issues have a block setting suggestion, complete with cutting directions included in each magazine.  How handy!  I used one of these settings when I made Trent's quilt, too.

I started out by cutting some coordinating fabrics into strips, then squares.

When I cut pieces for any quilt project, I always label them and put them into little zipper baggies.  It really helps me to keep organized.  What do you do to keep your pieces separated?

More to come on this project soon!

Have a lovely day.
