Drunkard's Path Challenge featuring Spot On!

Hello everyone!  It's the last day of April and here's my Island Batik Ambassador (Lumin Fabrics) challenge quilt, Spot On!

Disclaimer:  The items used to create this project were given to me by Island Batik and Industry Sponsors.

The challenge parameters were to make a quilt using the traditional Drunkard's Path block, lap size or larger.  We were allowed to use any fabric collection, other than the upcoming blog hop fabric.

I chose to use this 10" precuts stack of Precious Pinks.  These gradation 10" precut stacks come in all the different color families and are always available to purchase year round.  Ask for them at your local quilt shop!

Other sponsored products I used to make my quilt include:

Hobbs Tuscany Collection Silk        Schmetz Microtex Needles
                                          Blend Batting

Aurifil Thread                          Oliso Project Iron in Raspberry

April was a very busy month for me with five projects to finish up, so I didn't get a lot of in progress photos of this quilt. Here's a design wall pic. I chose to make my Drunkard's Path blocks the old fashioned way.  I cut templates, traced all the pieces and used lots and lots of pins for the curved seams.

You can see it starting to come together in this photo.  I used Island Batik (Lumin Fabrics) solid black, white, and dark gray to make the pinks pop!
