1948 Featherweight and Table

I love my local thrift shop!  I visited a few weeks ago and found this gorgeous Featherweight sewing table for only $3.00.  I immediately said to my husband, "I'm buying that", and made him fold it up and carry it around the store for me.  I wasn't looking for one of these tables, because I thought I'd never find one.  This featherweight sewing table is also a rare model.  Most of the Featherweight tables in this style have black edges.

Beetle and Trail Mix gave it a thorough inspection when it arrived home.

This 1948 Featherweight 221 is very likely the one that was used with the table.  My husband purchased this machine from the same thrift shop earlier in the week.  It needs a new belt and a little love before it is ready to sew.  I think they look good together.

  1. How lucky for you. Which vintage store do you usually go to?

  2. Hello Sandie ~ My favorite local thrift shop is the Lifeline. It's a women's shelter; the women work in the shop. I both donate and shop there. You never know what treasures you may find. Have a wonderful day!
