New Pattern! Log Cabin Under the Stars

Here it is!  My very newest quilt pattern, Log Cabin Under the Stars.

I used Island Batik's upcoming fabric line, Tropicana Twist by Kathy Engle.  This fabric will be arriving in your local quilt shop later this year, in November/December.  Mark your calendar - I know you're going to want some of this!

This is the basic block.  It's a bright and happy log cabin with a brilliant star in the center.

The four blocks in the center of the quilt form a beautiful blue and green plus sign.

Close up of the quilt center.

A close up of the cheery star in the center of each log cabin block.

I backed this quilt with another gorgeous green fabric from Island Batik.

Here it is lying on a bed.  It fills a room with sunshiny warmth and cheer.

 Pretty folds.

I quilted the Log Cabin Under the Stars quilt in a simple allover loopy meander.

I used the same bright blue fabric as the outer border for the quilt binding.

This quilt was fast to make and fun to sew.  Full color diagrams are featured throughout the pattern along with the written instructions.
