I stated that I was not going to finish my June project on time. Here's an update on how it's going:

I used my Deb Tucker Studio 180 Split Recs tool to cut out all of the triangle pieces for my quilt. I cut for the largest size, 4" x 8" finished. This tool is amazingly versatile. You can cut units in so many different sizes. If you haven't used Studio 180 tools before, they make it easy by sewing the units a little larger than needed and then trimming them down to size. It was incredibly fast cutting out all the triangles I needed for my quilt. It probably took me longer to choose the fabrics, then it did to cut them out. I ironed all my fabrics with my Oliso smart iron and cut them into strips. The directions are included with the ruler tool. It is so easy to use.
The triangles are cut into pairs using the two fabrics that will be in your Split Recs unit.
Here is my pile of freshly cut Island Batik triangles. I am using solid black, white, and a variety of bright colors from my stash for this project. Now I'm all ready to sew!
