Quiltmaker's 1000 Blocks! Blog Tour

 Woo-Hoo!  Quiltmaker!  1000 Blocks!  Congratulations!  I'm so glad I've been a part of this ongoing journey with the Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks magazines.  Here we are, Volume 10, and it's wonderful.  So many amazing blocks to sew!


Here's my block, Persuasion.  This was a fun block to design.  I knew I wanted something with a pieced background.  The swirly rose just came about by happy accident.


Love this hearts on black fabric by Moda!  The hearts are just dancing all over the place.  


For my quilt, I sewed four Persuasion blocks.


 I wanted to put them into an on point setting with the blocks kind of spinning around from the center...but I ran out of fabric.  I even dug through my stash for some other fabric that would work - nothing!


So this is how the quilt turned out.  Still cute!

    It's amazing how just a shape can evoke the entire flower. What a great design! I can imagine the rose as an applique on a jacket....hmmmm.....
