A Little Vintage Sewing Shopping...

Just a bit, but I love to share my treasure hunting finds with you.  Above is a small, hinged wooden box with nine, nice star blocks on the top.  More inspiration for Star Block of the Month?  Maybe!  Check back for the January Star Block of the Month tutorial on January 1st.

Another recent find is this Colt iron trivet.  I love the look of this.  I'm thinking it would look cute sanded down and painted - pink, maybe?  What do you think?  We'll see!

Until next time...please visit the Curlicue Creations Shop...and have a Merry Christmas!

  1. You must have been hiding in my bloglovin list until I marked everything as read to tidy it up. I am so glad I found your star block tutorials. Stars are my favourites. Merry Christmas.

  2. Thanks for following, Jennifer. I'll come back to see the star tutorials. I like stars, but not too crazy about samplers - maybe I can use them in a different way. You might want to think twice about that trivet - it might be worth some money if it's an original - see http://www.realorrepro.com/article/Trivets-New-and-Old Myself, I'd leave it just as it is and hang in on one of my sewing studio walls. JMO. Merry Christmas!
