Checkerboard Cat Quilt Block
Heads up, everyone! This week, on January 11th, I will be the guest blogger at The Quilting Gallery. This is a really great site to connect with other quilters the world over. If you haven't visited the Quilting Gallery before, be sure to take a peek! I will be having a giveaway of one of my quilt patterns on my guest blog post, too.
Tin Miniature Birdhouse
This week I worked on one of my three dollhouses a little bit. It was fun! I hung this tiny, tin birdhouse up on the front porch of the blue dollhouse. I'm sure the miniature birds will be here to make a nest this spring. I wonder what kind they will be? Bluebirds? Chickadees? Carolina Wrens? That's what we usually get at my house.
New Bathroom Cabinet
I hung a new bathroom cabinet in the teeny, tiny bathroom, too. It's hard to see in the photo, but there's some old fashioned shaving supplies inside, a brush, and a bowl. Cute! I cracked the teeny, tiny, bathtub, while I was doing this, but I glued it back together and glued the soap on the soap dish, too. Kind of looks like a real bathroom in the photo, eh?
Queen Anne Serving Table, Circa 1740-1750
I started on this kit of a Queen Anne Serving Table. It went together nicely. There's a shell pattern on the front that should stand out better when I get some wood stain on it. It has a genuine white marble top, made out of genuine white marble material, too. I'll show it with the top on when it's all completed.
Rusty Ole' Iron
I was in the middle of working on my super, secret project this week when my iron broke. Zut Alors! Not quite as badly as the one in the photo, but it sure wasn't heating up and doing it's job! Good thing I have an iron collection. I just whipped out another one and started pressing away. I always knew that iron collection would be good for something other than doorstops someday.
Fusible Hearts
And I worked a little bit on the Christmas Block of the Month quilt. I mean just a little, little bit! I cut out 12 Heat and Bond Lite fusible hearts for the Heart Blocks. That's it. I mean, it was Wild Card Weekend in the NFL! I know it's weird, but I just gotta watch football. Even though my team is out. I just loved it that the Broncos won, though. That was a great game!
Until next time, please visit the Curlicue Creations shop, and have a super day!

ReplyDeleteThe kitty block is so darn cute. Is it a pattern that you have for sale? I am on your side, I love sports and I was attached to the TV all weekend. My team the Redskins didn't even get out the gate this year, but I still love watching the other teams. Have a great week. Betty
